I love my new black and white checkerboard floor!
I have wanted one for 30 years . Thanks to Rick’s hard work my retro kithen just keeps getting better and better.
Next comes the new lower cabinets he is building and tile counter tops and black and white tile blacksplash.
I already have the place crammed with all sorts of red 50′s kitchen stuff.
Also I’d like to thank everyone who showed such concern about my last blog whining about my scoliosis. I do appeciate the kind words and encouragement.
Ziggy update! Our bichon frise Ziggy is now 1 year old and a total delight. The little guy has such a loving personality and is my constant companion.
Unfortunetly Ziggy has horrible severe skin problems that cause him to litterly chew off his beautiful fluffy fur, creating big bald patches and he even scratches his skin open.
It’s unusual that such a young dog has such severe allergies and they probably will worsen.
Steroids help a great deal in relieving symptoms but are very damaging to a dog’s long term health, wreaking havoc with internal organs.
So- our little Zigfreid is going next month to a canine skin and allergist specialist to undergo tests to find out exactly what triggers him. Hopefully I’ll be able to give him allergy shots and get him off the steroids.

I really hope this dr can help him. As for me I am commited to doing whatever can be done to help my little scruff muffin. Wish us luck!
